The three marinas of Mediterranean Marinas receive one more year the Blue Flag
  • Estepona's marinas, The Duchess in Manilva and Marina del Este in Almuñécar carry more than 20 years collecting this award, indicating that these port precincts meet the requirements set by again, fruit of a prolonged work planning over time

The Mediterranean Marine Group, company that integrates the concessionaires of the marinas of Estepona, The Duchess (Manilva) and East Navy (Almuñécar) celebrates the award of the Blue Flag in the three marinas it manages.

As commented by the managing director of the Mediterranean Marines group, Manuel Raigón, "The awards are not just the recognition that we have met some requirements, in this case environmental. They are also the consequence that we do things right in terms of the care and maintenance of our facilities and the quality of customer service".

And it is that obtaining this award is the result of the work well done and continuous planning over time. In this sense, it should be remembered that Marinas del Mediterráneo has established a Management System in the maintenance of the facilities of its marinas a preventive plan whose objective is, on the one hand, optimize own resources and, on the other, seek excellence both in customer service and in the quality of it and facilities.

As indicated by the chief operating officer of the Marines del Mediterráneo Group, Alejandro Suanes, "with good management of a marina it is possible to optimize the resources so that all maintenance is planned and organized, which decreases the corrective maintenance required".

The trajectory of Blue Flags in the group's marinas speaks for itself. Marina del Este carries 25 years wearing this flag and the marinas of Estepona and La Duquesa are 22 years those who have been receiving this award.

This award is given by the European Foundation for Environmental Education (Fee) and the Association of Environmental and Consumer Education (Adeac) for more than 30 years in recognition of environmental quality and are awarded after a thorough analysis by ADEAC technicians on safety conditions in the facilities, environmental and water quality, sustainable management, the services offered to the user, social integration, as well as the informative and formative work of each port.

Andalusia is the second Spanish community with the highest number of marinas that have received the blue flag with a total of seventeen, three of which are managed by Mediterranean Navies.
