Basic life support training course and AED for staff at Estepona Marina

People's safety is another priority of Mediterranean Navies, it is therefore essential that all staff are trained in this area. Yesterday a Basic life support and DESA course took place at the facilities of the Marina of Estepona for the staff. During the training, the tutor again explained everything that needs to be taken into account when such an emergency occurred and internships were carried out to see how it would be acted on at that time. Attendees had the opportunity to update first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation techniques.

The semi-automatic external defibrillator (Desa) is a portable electronic device that diagnoses and treats cardiorespiratory arrest. This device emits a DC pulse to the heart. AED is very effective for most so-called cardiac arrests.
