• Estepona Marina, The Duchess and Marina del Este will join the celebration of Marina Day with activities for the whole family and that are the starting gun to inaugurate the summer season

The Mediterranean Marine Group, entity that manages the concessions of the marinas of Estepona, The Duchess (Manilva) and East Navy (Almuñécar) celebrates on Saturday 12 June the international initiative Marina Day, the day of the Marinas, with various activities in its three nautical facilities.

The goal of Marina Day is to open the ports and all its facilities to the public. To make the population aware of the variety of leisure and entertainment alternatives offered by marinas, as well as to realize that these enclosures are open spaces for the enjoyment of the whole family and that there is no need to have a boat to take advantage of all the activities and infrastructures that the ports have.

For its part, Daniel Martin, CEO of the Mediterranean Marinas Group, has commented that one of the objectives set by the strategic plan of the company is to bring the marinas they manage to the cities in which they are located and that are considered by the neighbors as a space for their leisure and enjoyment, so the celebration of Marina Day is a great opportunity to publicize the offer available to each port.

During the day on Saturday 12 June, Estepona's marinas, The Duchess and Marina del Este have organized some environmental activities to combine them with nautical activities and the wide gastronomic offer of the ports. All this outdoors, without agglomerations and with the maximum guarantees of safety.

Manuel Raigón, director general of the Mediterranean Marine Group, has highlighted that Marina Day is a very important day since its objective is "to open our doors to everyone. Let people know the marinas, its operation and that they know that they are open and safe spaces that have different alternatives so that the whole family can have a good day".

Activities at the group's marinas

The Puerto Deportivo de Estepona Marina Day celebration begins on Friday 11 of June with the cleaning of the bottoms of the docks 3 And 4 of the port by the divers of Marbella Shipyard.

For Saturday 12 June, the marina has scheduled a garbage collection activity in Playa del Cristo and surroundings as part of the annual mobilization against the "Basuraleza", of the Libera Project 1m2 By The Beaches and The Seas. The meeting point will be in the Control Tower at 10.30 hours, where all the necessary material will be distributed to carry out the collection of the garbage.

And to enjoy the sea, schools and charter companies based in the marina will offer the following discounts: Moby Dick Catamaran companies, Sailboat Toro and the Sailing School of the Nautical Club of Estepona offer discounts of the 50% about your rates.

Estepona Charter, for his part, you will have a discount of the 20% for reservations made on Marina Day and Sotoboats Charter companies, South Olé Sails, Tourist Sailboats The Intrepid, Water Adventures La Noria I or Marbella Jet Ski, of jet skis, will offer a discount of the 10%. Catamaranes Estepona has a price of 8 euros for one-hour walks and one 50% in the rest of the rates.

The La Duquesa Marina marina day celebration also begins on Saturday 12 of June with the activity of garbage collection. An initiative that will begin at the 10.00 hours with the delivery of gloves, the bags and the necessary material in the Control Tower of the port. The waste collection will be carried out at the Playa de las Gaviotas.

And the day continues with interesting promotions, as the discount of the 50% offered by the company Norton Charters SC for travel 1 time during the weekend or Entolsur Initiatives SL, with a 20% discount for kayaking routes along the Guadiaro River.

For its part, Jimmy's Kitchen Restaurant, on the front line of the port, celebrate this day with various promotions: 8 vegan or non-vegan tapas and a pitcher of sangria for 25 Euros; 2 special offer×1 in cocktails between the 14.00 and the 20.00 over the weekend; and for each breakfast on the menu, a free tea or coffee.

The Marina del Este port, in Almuñécar,  you will also have a variety of options for a good day at your facility. Boat trips or boat rentals with special discounts (15% discount on rent and 20 euros discount for rides 3 hours); scuba diving schools offer a 25% discount on dives and 2×1 in baptisms and some restaurants have special menus from 15 Euros. In Marina del Este is also planned the collection activity of the "Basuraleza" in the area of the Beach of Los Berengueles and the breakwater of the port. The appointment is on Saturday 12 from June to 10.30 hours in the Marina Control Tower.
