The Mayor of Almuñécar, Trinidad Herrera (Pp) and the director of the concessionaire company of Marina del Este marina, Manuel Raigón, were in charge of hoisting a new Blue Flag that already looks next to the mouth of the Sexitan marina.

With the hoisting of the Blue Flag 2013 – 2104 East Navy continues to add recognition, year after year, being one of Themost award-winning Andalusian marinas.

This is the seventeenth flag that we raise in this port thanks to the collaboration and support of all those who are part of the care and maintenance team of the enclosure. This award was added the recognition of the blue flag to two boats moored in the Sexitan port and which have been complying with all the protocol that requires this recognition.

For its part, the mayor, Trinidad Herrera, highlighted the significance and importance of hoisting the Blue Flag in the harbour, so he didn't hesitate to join the congratulations to the staff of Marina del Este.

It should be remembered that the Sexitan port, located in the eastern part of Punta de la Mona, between Almuñécar and La Herradura, has 227 moorings for boats up to 30 metres in length and laces between 3 And 6,5 meters. The port offers services such as: VHF channel 9 , Fuel, Water, Electricity, travelift 30 Tn., Crane 3.5 Tn., Showers, plus restoration, Supermarket, Shops, and dive center, among others. All this makes it an important and prominent place in the transit of boats between Almería and the province of Malaga.
