Marinas del Mediterráneo sets out its criteria in the management of marinas at the XVII Symposium held in the Canary Islands

The Chairman of the Group, José Carlos Martín, has participated as a speaker in this meeting that has brought together the country's head of marinas.

The president of the Mediterranean Marines group, José Carlos Martín, has participated as speaker of the XVII Symposium on Sports Ports held last Friday and Saturday in the Canary Islands. Martin, has explained to those present what is the Marinas del Mediterráneo group and the criteria that your company prioritizes when it comes to managing the marinas of which it holds the administrative concession, as are the marina of Estepona, the marina of La Duquesa de Manilva and the marina of Marina del Este in Almuñécar. José Carlos Martín has been accompanied in this event by Manuel Raigón, managing director of the group's marinas.

For Martin, it is a priority to maintain a concern about the maintenance and conservation of the environment of the entire enclosure as well as to influence the formation of the entire human team that integrates the company. "Only by having a highly trained staff will we be able to offer the best customer service and maintain the facilities in the best way, and it's these details that make our customers opt for our ports", said José Carlos Martín.

The chairman of the Mediterranean Marine Group, who also holds the presidency of the Marine Association of Andalusia, a professional association that integrates 16 port enclosures throughout the Andalusian coast, stressed the importance of this meeting attended by the leaders of almost every port in the national territory. For Martin, it has been striking to see that management differs "depending on the autonomous community in which we find ourselves since there is no homogeneity in the treatment of marinas, fact that has even been the subject of some vindication by some of the rapporteurs".

Martin wanted to thank the organization for the invitation they made to him as "these kinds of meetings are always positive for the entrepreneurs who manage marinas as it means a sharing of our priorities, concerns and way of doing things".

The XVII Symposium on Marinas, the days have been celebrated 1 and 2 June in Gran Canaria under the slogan: "New management and economic models of the Marinas".

The event has been organized by ASMAR (SL Maritime Performances and Services) in order to take a step forward in the constant work of updating and recycling the nautical sector and its professionals. This year, discussions have been on the main current issues that have the greatest impact on the business of marinas. Topics such as the Costas Law and new regulations on marina concessions, Rate T0, investments in marinas in the face of new competitions and their return, nautical facilities such as elements of port-city integration or the new management and economic models of marinas, among other topics of interest.
