Mediterranean marinas continues with boat surveillance and custody activity at their marinas

The Mediterranean Marines group, under the Royal Decree-Law 10/2020, of 29 March, tightening confinement measures to curb COVID-19 expansion, reports that in the Estepona Marinas, LA DUQUESA and Marina del Este the surveillance and custody service for vessels that are in their berths continues to be maintained, as it had been developing since the beginning of the State of Alarm decreed by the Government.

Although sports nautical traffic is prohibited, Manuel Raigón, managing director of the group, ports have the minimum services needed to ensure the maintenance of facilities and vessels, as well as to cover any emergency that may occur as a risk of sinking or temporary. These minimum services also include monitoring for no displacement of people through the facilities.

What has been paralyzed are the tasks of the boathouses until the next 9 April, unless further indicated by the authorities.

Raigón has explained that work is being done in conjunction with the Civil Guard maritime service to follow the established protocol: communicate to them if any ships arrive with the intention of docking at one of the ports. And, in this case, crew members will not be able to disembark until they have permission from the competent authority.

The managing director of Marinas del Mediterráneo has highlighted the work that is being carried out by all the staff at each of the ports and has appreciated their work, engagement and professionalism.
