• Estepona Marina, The Duchess and Marina del Este will join the international celebration of Marina Day with a day full of nautical activities for the whole family

The Mediterranean Marine Group, company that makes up the concessionaires of the Estepona Marinas, The Duchess (Manilva) And Marina del Este (Almuñécar) celebrates on Saturday 8 June the international initiative Marina Day, the day of the marinas with various activities in their three port enclosures.

The goal of Marina Day is to open the ports and all its facilities to the public. To make the population aware of the variety of leisure and entertainment alternatives offered by marinas, as well as to realize that these enclosures are open spaces for the enjoyment of the whole family and that there is no need to have a boat to take advantage of all the activities and infrastructures that the ports have.

Throughout Saturday's day 8 June, Estepona's marinas, The Duchess and Marina del Este have organized a wide range of activities: boat rides, Diving, Diving, boat hire, kayaking, paddle surfing, Exhibitors, discounts on restaurants.

Manuel Raigón, director general of the Mediterranean Marine Group, has stressed that Marina Day is a very important day that they organize with great enthusiasm. "The goal is to open our doors to everyone. Let people know the marinas, and know that they are open spaces that have different alternatives so that the whole family can have a good day, without having to have a boat", explained Raigón.

Activities at the group's marinas

The Puerto Deportivo de Estepona has organized an extensive programme of activities for the event. They'll start on Friday 7 June with a clean-up of the seabed and a guided tour of the port grounds facilities with port staff.

For Saturday 8 June the day will feature fun for all audiences. Yacht charter companies will offer discounts for excursions that day. Marine Tourism Costa del Sol, will offer a discount on the 10%; Discover Scuba Diving will perform diving baptisms and the Underwater Vision Catamaran will have a special discount when hiring the tour for that day, just like the Toro Sailboat. The Sailing School will also perform sea baptisms; Catamaranes Estepona has a special price of 5 euros per person per hour and South Olé Sails will have a special price of 24 euros per person for two hours. And estepona Charter companies, Sotoboats Charter, Prestige Fishing Tours, IOE Marina Charter and Tourist Sailing will offer a discount of the 10%.

For Sunday 9 june and taking advantage of the popular flea market Buceoestepona.com will have an informative exhibitor where you will talk about the Introduction to Diving; EsKape Estepona, will provide information on kayak fishing; rcne Estepona Sailing School will also have a presence to give information on the introduction to the Light Sailing; Turismo Marinero Costa del Sol will present the different marine proposals they offer and the south Olé company will provide information on the various nautical qualifications and courses.

Marina Day in Estepona coincides with the XLIII edition of the 24 Hours Sports so Manuel Raigón encourages all citizens and visitors to come to the marina "so that they can check in first person the different nautical sports activities, leisure and catering that our port and that complete the tourist offer of the municipality".

Puerto Deportivo La Duquesa, for his part, it will also host a number of activities. Norton Charter company will offer boat cruises and dolphin watching by 15 euros per adult and 5 euros children; No Stress Fishing Charter will have a 20% discount for fishing trips; Andalusia Activities will offer a 20% off for kayak routes, paddle surfing and kayak rentals and with Roadrunner Leisure you can take boat trips, renting bikes or Scooters.

The Marina del Este port, in Almuñécar, you will also have a variety of options for a good day at your facility. Boat trips or boat rentals with special discounts; diving schools will offer a 25% discounted on dives and a 2×1 at baptisms; In addition, restaurants located in the harbour will have special menus from 15 euros per person. The companies collaborating in Marina Day are Buceo La Herradura, Buceonatura, Elite Nautical Boat Rental, Granada Sailing,  Alborán Adventures&Charters and Restaurant el Barco. These companies will offer these special discounts, in addition to Saturday 8 June, during the week of the 10 June.
