Blue flag

In our port we are proud to have been awarded in successive years with the blue flag for sports ports.

The blue flag is an award for environmental quality, which is granted to sports ports that make a special effort regarding good local environmental management and nature, and that provides users with information on environmental issues. To get the blue flag, The sports port has to gather a series of requirements, that refer to education and environmental information, Environmental Management, SERVICES AND SAFETY AND WATER QUALITY.

The blue flag is an award granted by the Foundation of Environmental Education (FEE), A non -governmental environmental organization, represented by national organizations in some 50 countries of 5 continents.

The blue flag is an award for environmental quality granted to the beaches and sports ports.

The blue flag covers mainly 4 areas:

  • Environmental Management.
  • Security and services.
  • Water quality

The blue flag is an award that is granted for a single season and the award is only valid while the requirements continue to meet. When this is not the case, The authorities responsible for the port must arrive the blue flag.

Each national Fee organization inspects places with blue flag during the season.

Throughout the year, In the port there are various environmental education activities.

You can help the campaign also taking part in the protection of the environment: 

  • Follow the instructions of the Code of Environmental Conduct in the sports port and in its surroundings.
  • Use organic products for paints, detergents ... etc..
  • Contamination report or other violations of environmental norms to the authorities.
  • Save water, electricidad y combustible. Generally follow all recommendations for the use of facilities aimed at energy savings and environmental resources in the port and in its surroundings.
  • Encourage other navigators to take care of the environment. Participate in environmental education activities promoted by the port.

There is also this award for private vessels.
